This Company Lets Kids Design Their Own Clothes

One day, mother of two, Jaimee Newberry, came up with a brilliant idea to sew her daughter a dress that was based on her own drawing. The dress was such a huge hit with both her daughter’s friends and their parents, that Newberry decided to make a business out of it.

Titled ‘Picture This’, Newberry’s company lets children turn their drawings into clothes that they could actually wear (currently, just dresses). So, how does it work? You go over to the Picture This website, choose a size and print out a coloring sheet. Then your kid draws her little heart out and you send a picture of a drawing to the website. Two weeks later, the dress arrives in your mail. Yes, it’s as simple as that! Brilliant, huh? Try it for yourselves by clicking here.

Turn Your Baby’s Clothes Into Keepsake ‘Memory Bears’

This has to be the best thing to do with a onesie after your baby has outgrown it. Artists and crafty moms are turning those old baby clothes into teddy bears and parents are loving them.

These so-called “memory bears” are keepsakes that can be cherished by parents and kids for years to come. There are other animals you can try, too!

Check out some of these examples from Etsy where artists turn those tiny outfits into precious, creative bears that your kids can cuddle with.

This bear by ImaginationAcresLLC is covered with bunnies. We love how the artist even preserved those adorable bunny feet.

This handmade bear by CrazyLeggies is made from a cupcake-themed onesie! So adorable.

How about this bear, covered with turtles. The blue ribbon is a perfect touch! (Wait, is every onesie required to have an animal print?)

Remember we said you can morph baby clothes into other animals as well? Check out this stuffed elephant made from a sailing-themed onesie. You would never know he was once a onesie!

2017 PONTIAC TRANS AM – PONTIAC CARS REVIEW!

Today we bring you a rumor of a brand new 2017 Pontiac Trans AM, that is supposedly hitting the streets next year.
Sometimes rumors start from the actual car manufacturers themselves for many different reasons, one might be just to feel the pulse of the public if they would be interested in purchasing such a new model and sometimes they keep the buzz going because as some PR agents say “There is no such thing as bad publicity”
The more people talk about a model or a company it keeps the company in play so next time you think of buying a new car, you will buy a car that you have herd of recently more likely than something you have never heard of.
So, rumors are that the new model might come with a huge 7.0 liter V8 engine that will send its horsepower thru a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic transmission, to the rear wheels.
Daytime LED running lights is something more and more car manufacturers are opting for these days so the new Trans AM will have to keep up and provide them as standard.
The new interior will use good quality materials and the infotainment system will be Bluetooth compatible since more and more people use their phone as their basic music player.
Unofficially the car will hit the streets with a $40K price tag for a well equipped V-8 model, but for more information on the exact release and pricing, we will all have to wait until the official word.

The yin and yang of the 2017 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400

When we first drove the Q50 Red Sport 400, Infiniti had the car out at a prepared slalom-and-cone course in a large, open parking lot. The car was stacked up against another Q50 without the Direct Adaptive Steer steer-by-wire system, and the course was designed to show that the DAS-equipped Red Sport 400 (it’s a $1,000 option) required less steering input to master the same course.

With all due respect to Infiniti, which is invested in this unfortunate system and has been working hard to revise it, the comparison doesn’t make a lot of sense.

The non-DAS Red Sport 400 has a steering ratio of 15:1 in RWD and 16.7:1 in AWD forms. The DAS system can vary between 12:1 and 32.9:1 in RWD and 11.8:1 to 32.3:1 in AWD flavors. At its extremes, the DAS system’s ratio is vastly different than the fixed-ratio cars. So sure, with a ratio of up to 32.9:1, the DAS driver’s going to do less work. It’s all in the gearing.

infiniti q50

Does this mean it’s better, that the steering feel is more natural, that it’s easier to hustle quickly? The amount the driver saws at the wheel isn’t an indication of that, necessarily. After a few days in a rear-drive Red Sport 400, I’m saying that the spooky disconnection between the driver and the front wheels would be a severe deficit to a driver on a real autocross course. It’s not like the DAS system is choosing bad ratios within its range, it’s just not supplying the feedback to make it enjoyable. Knowing what your front tires are up to is critical.

I can hear you saying right now, “But what Q50 Red Sport 400 owners are going to autocross their cars?” Sure, but it was just a means to an end: showing off the DAS in a good light. And in that case, it probably did. The thing is, in isolation, not back-to-back with a non-DAS car with a slow steering ratio, the DAS system has the same issues it’s always had: It simply doesn’t feel natural. It doesn’t feel intuitive. There doesn’t seem to be any real advantage over a slightly quicker rack. I don’t hear about people making buying decisions based on how much work they have to do sawing at the wheel, do you?

So, that’s one side of the Q50 coin – one that’s hard to ignore if you’re an enthusiast and steering feel is an important connection between you and the vehicle you just dropped a large hunk of change on, and will be spending a lot of your time in. The other is that there’s a really compelling reason to drive a Red Sport 400: The 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 is a monster.

Infiniti Q50 models equipped with the 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo 400 hp engine are designated as the Q50 Red Sport 400 and feature unique staggered 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and 245/40R19 front/265/35R19 rear summer performance run-flat tires, as well as unique exhaust tips. These changes help to assert the car’s performance credentials and add to its aggressive, confident aura.

It’s uncouth, to be sure. In Sport+, a swift boot of the accelerator on a dry onramp will cause the rear tires to skitter and the Q50’s svelte rear to weave a bit. Unlike the steering, the untidiness of it all is actually pretty enjoyable. It’s not surgical precision management of rear traction, but that’s a bit sterile, isn’t it? Punting the thing forward is a dramatic, analog experience.

It feels much swifter than it actually is, although a 4.5-second 0-60 time isn’t anything to be ashamed of. It’s just the way in which this thing scoots – some cars are quick, but some aspect leads to a disassociation with what the speedometer says and how fast the car feels. That’s not happening here.

The engine is great, but the most important factor in a car-buying decision is how it looks. On that count, the Q50 is in good shape. Outside, it’s a sexy car. Inside, it’s somehow dated … even the esoteric Lexus IS interior looks better than this. Compared to an Audi or BMW, no contest. The “winged” trim rings around the instruments are the perfect illustration of this: They look silly, they’re quite obviously painted plastic, and they don’t seem to belong in a car that starts a hair under $50,000.

Ford Bronco officially coming back, will be made in Michigan

Ford announced earlier this year that it will add four SUVs to the lineup, and it was widely assumed the Bronco would be one of those four. The theory stems from the latest contract between the UAW and Ford, and what happens to the Michigan Assembly Plant when the Focus and C-Max production move south of the border.

“We hate to see the products go to Mexico, but with the Ranger and the Bronco coming to Michigan Assembly that absolutely secures the future for our people a lot more than the Focus does.”

Confirmation comes from Bill Johnson, chairman of UAW local 900, speaking to the Detroit Free Press last week. “We hate to see the products go to Mexico, but with the Ranger and the Bronco coming to Michigan Assembly that absolutely secures the future for our people a lot more than the Focus does.”

Yes, he did just say that. The Bronco is coming to Michigan Assembly. Which means the Bronco is coming back. Whether you live in a Giant Douche or Turd Sandwich household, this is one thing America can come together on.

2020 ford bronco render

After a painful eleven-year absence, Ford announced the immensely popular Bronco nameplate is on its way back in the near future. The automaker confirmed both the Ranger pickup truck and the Bronco will return to the U.S, the former in in 2019 and the latter in 2020.

At the 2017Detroit auto show, Ford gave official credence to the leak. According to the automaker, the compact truck and SUV will both be built at the Wayne, MI plant.

This is great news for enthusiasts, but if you’re hoping for a boxy, slab-sided throwback to the Broncos from the 1980s and 1990s, you’re probably going to be disappointed. It’s likely the current Ford Ranger already sold overseas will receive a facelift for the U.S. market, and bring the Ranger-based Everest SUV with it as the next-generation Bronco. Think less two-door brick, more off-road Ford Edge. Regardless, we’re just happy to have the Bronco and Ranger back on our shores.
